Course information

May 10 - 15, 2020
Q Station Manly NSW 2095
AUD$5,450 (plus GST) includes all accommodation and meals.

The Institute’s intensive residential program offers a deep dive into dialogue, exploration and discovery around what it means to be a leader in today’s VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world.

Building an understanding of their leadership in context, the program explores each leader’s role and unique contribution in effecting change and influence. Participants deepen their ability to become curious, collaborate, innovate and learn with others to co-create and lead the library, information and cultural industries of the future.

In a supportive learning community, participants are encouraged to cultivate a growth mindset and mobilise their strengths as they engage with organisational leaders, mentors and their peers and optimise their own potential as leaders.

Past Aurorans tell us that the profound understanding of personal and organisational change dynamics the program offers, prepares them for leadership based on an awareness of self, others and the larger systems in which we live and work.

The Institute curriculum and learning methodologies have changed and evolved in light of the environment in which we work, ensuring powerful impact and meaning for participants and their organisations.

With fresh content, mentors, dynamic experiential learning opportunities and stimulating presenters and a wonderful venue, the program provides the opportunity to:

  • build self awareness
  • understand institutions and systems
  • expand knowledge
  • enhance skills
  • extend networks
  • expand horizons

During the Institute participants will work in groups and be supported by mentors. The Institute will run for five days. Please note participants will need to be onsite at Q Station for the program welcome and opening on the Sunday evening.
